Wow..this day is finally here…the opening of “Surfing the Ironing Board” And..how do I feel? Mostly excited…like Christmas morning. And..I bit nervous as my car is making a new noise and worried it will konk out on the way to Halifax. Judy is deciding what to wear for the big day.
I went to Halifax today to chat with the director of the NS Centre for Craft and Design..the lovely Susan Charles. I brought my jumbo yoga cat calendar to work out some dates for events at the Mary E. Black Gallery during “Surfing the Ironing Board”. Stay tuned for details.
I got a letter in the mail informing me that NS Art Bank would like to purchase “Waiting for the Cat to Let Her out” for their collection….yes! I will keep you posted as they have a show for the pieces that were purchased…and.. hope you can come to the opening.
I had applied for a group show at the AGNS in Oct. and I received a nice reply yesterday.. “I am very pleased to inform you that the Panel has selected your work to be included in the exhibition Terroir: A Nova Scotia Survey.” Woot! I shall keep you posted as to when the show […]
I received some good news from St John’s Newfoundland, “Thank you for your proposal. Congratulations, the committee would be pleased to present your exhibit in the 2017 programming of the Craft Council ANNEX Gallery.” Whoot! Judy will be heading up to Newfoundland…AND SHE HAS ALWAYS WANTED TO GO SO SHE IS SUPER EXCITED.
Judy was upset that people weren’t sticking to the New Year’s resolutions she had made for them.
When I see the work of the following hookers I am left thinking either, “Wow…I have never seen that before” or “Wow….I love those colours” or “Wow..how did she do that?” or “Wow…what does the rug mean?”. So, that was my criteria..did it wow me and if so, then YES.. I want to see more […]
