This is a rug I completed a couple of years ago. This Mom-to-be is very excited…and yet you can tell by the slope of her back, she is pooped. I think that pretty much sums up Motherhood, exciting yet, tiring.

Whenever I cut wool for a rug, I usually end up with leftovers and so into the basket they go. Every now and then I think, “Gee, I should go through that basket and colour sort” ..but hasn’t happened yet. So it is either time for another basket or organize..leaning towards another basket.
I hooked this fish right after the stressed out kitty, and again, I wasn’t overthinking, but just going with it..ahh, found my groove again…nice feeling.
I really like how the colours came together for this piece..I was thinking less and just doing, and that works out much better.
Just finished this little fishy yesterday. I had a bit of trouble with it as I was second guessing almost every colour I choose…BUT happy with it in the end. Stop thinking Laura..just do it!
