It was nice to settle back into hooking after the Festival fun….just finished hooking this little one, 8×25″.
Wow…I mean really, that is how the festival feels to me every year..WOW! Rugs were sold..laughs were had….it doesn’t get much better than that. SOLD
Hot off the hoop..last one..just have to give all rugs a final press…and off to Lunenburg tomorrow! Hope to see you there!
http://www.harvestgallery.ca/index.php Hey! “Laundry Day” is the image on the home page of the Harvest Gallery’s website…so great to see rug hooking featured front and centre…I am indeed, a happy hooker.
Just 4 more days till the festival and I am pretty much ready… just a few last details to work out. How do I feel? Excited, nervous…it feels so weird sometimes standing behind your table, all your work around you and people passing by..giving it a thumbs up..or down. Be brave Laura. 🙂
Just returned from dropping a few rugs off at Harvest Gallery in lovely Wolfville. I sometimes have to pinch myself that I am represented by this gallery. Alex Colville, Alan Silliboy, Holly Carr, Steven Rhude…the list goes on and on..their work is at the gallery…and so are these three rugs, by Laura Kenney. 🙂
Just nine more days to Folk Art Festival…so, time to add tags and I am ready!
Drove to Amherst today and had a lovely chat with Deanne about a workshop I will be helping out with in the fall… ..I was nervous about it..but now feeling more exited! Picked up some lovely sari-ribbon and second hand wool…all is good. Here is a link to the festival..lots of great workshops available. http://www.fibreartsfestival.com/
