Just 4 more days till the festival and I am pretty much ready… just a few last details to work out. How do I feel? Excited, nervous…it feels so weird sometimes standing behind your table, all your work around you and people passing by..giving it a thumbs up..or down. Be brave Laura. 🙂
Just returned from dropping a few rugs off at Harvest Gallery in lovely Wolfville. I sometimes have to pinch myself that I am represented by this gallery. Alex Colville, Alan Silliboy, Holly Carr, Steven Rhude…the list goes on and on..their work is at the gallery…and so are these three rugs, by Laura Kenney. 🙂
Just nine more days to Folk Art Festival…so, time to add tags and I am ready!
Drove to Amherst today and had a lovely chat with Deanne about a workshop I will be helping out with in the fall… ..I was nervous about it..but now feeling more exited! Picked up some lovely sari-ribbon and second hand wool…all is good. Here is a link to the festival..lots of great workshops available. http://www.fibreartsfestival.com/

This rug was made for the NSDCC show at the Mary Black Gallery in Halifax in September…there is a bit of a story to this so please go to the show, if you can, to read all about it.
And all the cows thought Bessie couldn’t do it…but they didn’t know Bessie. 🙂
I went to the opening for the July show at Swoon this afternoon..and watched with glee as the gallery owner, Bradnt Eisner, put a nice little red circle on this little rooster..too much fun. I gave the new owner a high five …giggle.
