In Lighthouse Legacies, Stories of Nova Scotia’s Lightkeeping Families by Chris Mills, there is a photo of a Coast Guard helicopter taking away the belongings of George Locke, the lightkeeper on Cross Island. De-staffing. Now I worry we are in the de-lighthousing phase.

Rugs went on a road trip.

On Saturday..me, my husband, my two lovely children, two cats and 17 lighthouse rugs went to the valley to Harvest Gallery in Wolfville. And now, the rugs are in Laurel’s capable hands and …just four more days till the opening. YES! www.harvestgallery.ca
